Basrah Job Fair 2014

MSELECT was proud to be selected as host for the 2014 Basrah Job Fair – the largest one ever given in Basrah. Held on Monday, December 8, in downtown Basrah, the USAID "Foras" Basrah Job Fair drew more than 1,000 fresh graduates and job-seekers, and featured 26 of the region's largest employers, as well as prominent officials from the Iraqi and U.S. governments and representatives from the United Nations.

Among the highlights of the 2014 Basrah Job Fair were speeches by Acting U.S. Consul General Mr. Lonnie Kelley and Ms. Areej Al-Musttaf, Programme Specialist for the U.N. Development Programme Iraq, as well as presentations by local provincial leaders. The job fair also featured 3 days of training sessions for more than 500 Basrah job-seekers one week prior to the event, covering topics such as CV writing, online employment resources, and job interviewing skills.
