HABC Level 2 International Award in Emergency First Aid at Work
The Level 2 International Award in Emergency First Aid at Work is a qualification aimed at providing learners with the necessary knowledge, understanding and skills to support emergency first aid in the workplace. The HABC Level 2 International Award in Emergency First Aid at Work from Highfeld (UK) is accredited and recognised internationally and has been developed to protect customers, brand reputation and profits.
This qualification has been developed for those already working, or preparing to work, in the industry and who have been identified in the company’s first aid risk assessment as being required to provide first aid in the workplace. This international qualification will be delivered to learners through a 1-day training course (6 hours).
Topics covered include the role and responsibilities of a first-aider, assessing an incident, unresponsive casualties (breathing and not breathing), choking, shock and minor injuries.
How long will it take me to achieve this qualification?
This qualification is usually achieved by taking a one-day (6 hours) classroom-based course.
How is the qualification assessed?
This qualification is partially assessed via practical observation, and by one of the following options:
1. Option 1–Open Response Assessment
Learners must provide a short response to questions, either written or oral, across the breadth of the course syllabus throughout the duration of the course.
2. Option 2–Multiple-Choice Assessment
Learners must answer a series of multiple-choice questions across the breadth of the course syllabus.
