Mselect is offering Monitoring Evaluation Accountability and Learning Course
This 5-day course is aimes at those with experience of monitoring and evaluation and will build upon prior knowledge and experience to address complex MEAL challenges. The training will develop your skills and understanding of the MEAL and will provide a blend of practical examples, case studies, and opportunities to share ideas and experiences with practitioners on the course.
By the end of the training participants will:
Have developed a deeper understanding of the characteristics of effective MEAL and MEAL systems.
Have reviewed approaches to planning for MEAL, including Theory of Change, and explored some of the challenges with these.
Be able to select and use appropriate data collection methods and tools effectively and explored debates around newer qualitative and participatory approaches.
Have considered principles and steps in data analysis and the issue of quality of evidence.
Have explored ways to address issues around impact assessment and the M&E of outcomes and impact and how this leads to deeper levels of accountability to donors and stakeholders.
Considered their own role in bringing about improved MEAL within their projects, programs, and organizations.
The course is intended for:
For participants that have some experience in monitoring and evaluation. The course has been designed to build upon and enhance participant’s skills and understanding of MEAL and work through some of the complex challenges in doing MEAL, alongside other experienced practitioners.
About the Trainer
Shauna Lee Sexsmith is an INGO program manager, senior consultant with UNITAR, development strategist and process facilitator with ten
years of experience helping develop executive leadership capabilities for the public and private sectors. She has provided advising, and facilitation for international governments, members of parliament, C-Suite executives, and institutions. She works across Korea, Myanmar, Iraq, United States, and Canada and integrates leadership development, innovation and social impact for purpose-led growth to ensure leaders, and teams meet complexity, emergent change, and innovation, with a more informed and collaborative environment.
