MSELECT is looking for an experienced Automotive Head of Sales & Marketing to be working in one of the leading automotive companies in Baghdad, Iraq.
Develop the sales strategy for Nissan Business Unit; Plan, organize and direct prospect generation in tandem with Marketing and prospect management activities; Oversee sales conversion and procurement of vehicles; Control inventory; Improve business and sales processes; Enhance customer satisfaction; Engage, develop and retain staff; Support market intelligence, brand-building & network expansion activities.
Sales Strategy Development
Analyse market, competitive scenario, customer buying trends etc; Estimate potential for customer-segments & product mix; Analyse competitor intelligence vis-à-vis one's own strengths and abilities; Identify business opportunities; Identify needs and expectations of various stakeholders (such as customers, Principals etc); Review and approve annual business plans & budgets from fleet, government, Country's retail and branch heads; Secure needed resources and investments; Communicate strategy / plans / targets / budgets etc to team; Monitor regularly, progress on strategy achievement; Direct corrective actions in order to achieve strategic business goals for the company
Sales Planning Process
Review previous month actual versus plan; Address shortfalls in volume; Analyse inventory, fresh-arrivals and other information from Marketing Commercials affecting sales; Guide preparation of 3-month, sales plan; Allocate next month target; Cascade targets and budgets for various focus models in each product segment; Establish targets for retail, branch-locations, fleet and government in order to plan for achievement of sales targets.
Interpret market research findings; Agree on communication propositions and initiatives with Marketing; Approve budgetary allocations across marketing initiatives and activities; Coordinate with marketing and Principal's agencies as required for activities such as (selection of ad and PR agencies, validating campaigns, new product launches etc); Monitor impact of marketing activities in order to build the Brand Health of the company & ABC.
Review existing product specifications of the company and competitors; Review analysis & approve reductions in cost of the product, without reducing customer benefit (e.g. local stripes instead of manufacturer's stripes); Arrange for negotiation with manufacturers for such new options / variants; Review procurement prices of our products with equivalent models of competitors; Arrange for negotiations between ABC Management & manufacturers for more competitive prices (when required); Decide on variant mix for new models; Constantly review retail price positioning of focus models versus key competition; Identify price margin improvement opportunities or need for price moderation in order to provide a competitive range of required models.
- 10 years experience in the Automotive industry
- Excellent command of English and Arabic
- Strong understanding of the Automotive Industry and the Middle East market
