Job Description

MSELECT is looking for an experienced Automotive Deputy General Manager - HR & Admin to be working in one of the leading international automotive companies in Baghdad, Iraq.

Job Purpose:

To: Develop the HR strategy, Drive Organisation Effectiveness, Lead Manpower Planning, Performance Management, Learning & Development and Employee engagement activities. Within:  The guidelines of ABC strategy and policies. With the objective of : Enabling business performance through an effective and engaged workforce

Responsibilities:

Business & HR Strategy Management

Understand business and related dimensions; Prepare a Single Frame document; Organize and chair business understanding workshops for Op-Comm.; Discuss and finalise Single Frame;  Agree on key focus areas & measures; Outline road-map for deployment of strategy into department / functional scorecards; Derive HR implications of business strategy; Develop HR strategy and scorecard; Communicate and align HR team + Ops-Comm. on strategy; Build operational plans; Setup review mechanisms. Track progress on HR strategy in order to meet strategic objectives of the business and the HR function.

Manpower Planning & Recruitment

Analyse business growth projections and manpower requirements; Analyse turnover; Forecast short-fall / surplus of talent availability; Devise appropriate recruitment plans (such as MT programs, TATI, BCT etc); Align recruitment and selection process with BCF; Introduce new tools such as Assessment centers, aptitude tests etc; Identify talent pipeline gaps for key pillar positions; Consult business heads; Initiate appropriate succession / development plans (such as Fast Track programme) in order to prepare for adequate talent availability.

HR & Admin Team Development

Build HR team in line with business plans; Clarify roles and set accountabilities; Discuss and set KRA and KPIs for team; Review their performance; Coach and guide team; Identify training needs of team; Identify and groom successors; Implement employee engagement and team building activities in order to have a motivated and effective HR & Admin function.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in HR, MBA
  • Excellent command of English and Arabic
  • Strong understanding of the Automotive Industry and the Middle East market
