Then this is your chance! As we are seeking a highly motivated Facilities Logistics & Procurement Administrator for an upstream Oil & Gas Operator here in Erbil, Kurdistan. 


Purpose of the role:

He/she will be a specialist logistics/procurement. This includes support the movement of materials throughout the country from arrival to delivery within the warehouse. He/she will have to develop, negotiate and maintain relationships with logistics and warehousing service providers.

Primarily the role will entail facilities logistics however it will be necessary to assist and work with the Drilling and Exploration teams when required.


Job Function:

  • Setup and manage equipment inventory system for operations and construction activities
  • Establish and maintain vendor relationships
  • Manage and facilitate decisions related to tender execution and ensure seamless delivery
  • Take overall responsibilities for the placement of all relevant orders (use of practis)
  • Review the analysis of frequently purchased items.
  • Manage delivery schedules and communicate slippage and delivery risks.
  • Define and ensure that standards are maintained on the management system, procurement policy and strategy procedures and practice
  • Apply the company’s procurement policies, processes and procedures
  • Provide procurement services while complying  with established contracting terms & procurement procedures and processes
  • Assist in the development of tender strategy and evaluation plans including submissions to clients for approval
  • Responsible for the preparation, issue and administration of request for quotation (RFQ) packages for assigned projects
  • Liaise with contracts, HSEQ, technical and other disciplines for the preparation RFQ. Develop tender evaluation cost models with project engineers
  • Co-ordinate and lead the clarifications and negotiate process with tenderers during tender process
  • Prepare recommendations, final contract/call-off for award and execution debrief unsuccessful bidders if requested
  • Provide general advice on procurement matters to support commercial bids
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to logistics trainees

Qualification & Experience:

  • BS degree, preferably in supply chain/logistics, business, finance, or communication studies
  • 3 years of experience in logistics with direct experience implementing outsourcing arrangements and managing supply contractors.
  • 3-5 years upstream oil sector experience
  • International Procurement & Contracting experience in Oil and Gas Projects environment
  • In-depth understanding of contractor remuneration models & their commercial implications
  • Detailed understanding of model contract conditions & Master Service Agreements and it’s implication related to the well delivery process
  • Detailed understanding on transportation and supply processes
