Job Description

We are looking to hire a Finance Manager for a major real-estate development company in Sulaimaniya.
Purpose of the position:
Responsible for managing the general accounting function and oversees the completion of ledger Accounts and financial statements.
Evaluates and makes appropriate improvements to internal accounting processes ensuring that practices are in line with the overall goals of the company.
  • Practicing Unified Accounting System.
  • Accomplishes accounting human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees.
  • Communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions.
  • Planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Achieves accounting operational objectives by contributing accounting information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans.
  • Implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.
  • Completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements.
  • Meets accounting financial objectives by forecasting requirements and preparing an annual budget.
  • Confirms financial status by monitoring revenue and expenses and coordinating the collection.
  • Consolidation and evaluation of financial data and preparing special reports.
  • Maintains accounting controls by establishing a chart of accounts and defining accounting policies and procedures.
  • Maintains financial security by establishing internal controls.
  • Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • B.Sc. in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience with 2 years of managerial experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of general ledger accounting experience including preparation of journal entries.
  • Excellent knowledge and complete understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
  • Must possess strong quantitative and analytical skills combined with solid business and financial acumen and ability to present to senior management.
  • Advanced use of Microsoft Excel (v-lookup, pivot tables, etc.) and ability to perform financial analysis.
  • Team player who possesses solid interpersonal and organizational.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in Kurdish, Arabic and English.
