Job Description

Mselect is hiring a Production Chemical Service Engineer for one of its Oil & Gas service clients to be based in Erbil with below details:


  • Full responsibility for management of production chemical contract with direct regular 
  • customer communication 
  • Preparing weekly and monthly reports for customer
  • Technical report writing (Field & Laboratory)
  • Attending monthly performance review meetings with customer (unsupervised)
  • Manage team of back to back on site chemists who provide 24/7 field laboratory support
  • Perform unsupervised production chemical product selection and formulation in lab and in 
  • field primarily for H2S Scavenger, Wax, Asphaltene and Demulsifier applications.
  • Perform production chemical field trials at customer’s location (unsupervised)
  • Make recommendations for chemical treatment program including product type and dose 
  • rates
  • Lab testing of customer’s oil and water samples as and when required
  • Troubleshooting all production process and chemical issues on site with customer.
  • Set up and management of production chemical field laboratory
  • On site stock keeping and inventory management and ordering of production chemicals
  • Stock keeping and ordering of lab equipment and consumables
  • Conduct QA/QC on all incoming chemicals & associated record keeping
  • Assist in developing QHSE Documentation, Procedures and Training for ISO accreditation


  • At least 3 years (preferably 5 years) direct experience in Production Chemicals AND Oilfield
  • Production Process with an International Production Chemical Supplier or a Production 
  • Operator.
  • Excellent English language Skills
  • Degree in Chemistry and/or Chemical Engineering
  • Prepared to travel and be away from home for extended period (2 weeks at a time)
  • Experience in managing field personnel
