Job Description

MSELECT is currently seeking an Office Coordinator for an international client based in Erbil. The ideal candidate must be able to provide a high level of clerical and office support to the client board and staff, thus contributing to running the organization efficiently.

Purpose and scope of the position:

The incumbent will perform a variety of clerical duties, mainly: answering the phone, managing correspondence, typing, ticketing, office supplies and logistics, and occasionally handling guests'travel and accommodations.

As the first contact with the company’s internal and external customers, whether in person or over the phone, the incumbent is held liable for maintaining the highest standards of quality, and for projecting the company’s identity, corporate image and values. Discretion and confidentiality are essential.


Responsibilities include but not restricted to:

  • Handle phone queries; answer phones and transfer calls to the appropriate employees
  • Send and receive faxes 
  • Take messages and make sure they get to the appropriate employee
  • Greet, welcome, and direct visitors appropriately, or escort them to an office or meeting room
  • Handle business travel and accommodation bookings
  • Follow up on calendar and travel arrangements
  • Prepare reports 
  • Maintain safe and clean reception area by complying with procedure, rules, and regulations
  • Handle questions about the business
  • Accept and sign for packages and distribute mail
  • Electronic and physical filing, bookkeeping and scheduling
  • Open and close visitor area (locking doors, closing blinds, turning off lights)
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Education:                          Degree in Business (preferable)

Experience:                        1-3 years of experience; accounting experience is a plus

Language:                           Kurdish, Arabic and English (read, write and speak)

Computer skills:                 MS Office (Excel, Word) and internet search
