Job Description

Our Client is a Local leading provider of specialized oilfield services, focused on serving the drilling and production-related needs of oil and gas companies. They are currently looking for an Oil And Gas Director to be based in their office in Erbil-Kurdistan.

Summary:

Reporting to the Chairman, the Director has strategic, organizational and financial responsibility for the assigned country's operations, sales, logistics, engineering, finance, human resources and HSEQ in line with company policies and procedures. This position is responsible for developing the business development strategy to include markets, competitive positioning, creating a robust pipeline of market opportunities to support rapid future growth and expansion.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop a business plan and strategy across all product lines/services in the country
  • Provide leadership and cohesion of teams within the country, including hiring and management of staff
  • Achieve the company performance targets against the objectives and the growth strategy
  • Provide project progress updates to executive management and Corporate
  • Lead the development of operations, coordinate all third parties and represent the best interests of the company in line with legal requirements
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, local authorities and communities
  • Ensure market intelligence and customer knowledge to meet company targets and forecasts
  • Establish best in class practices for HSEQ and operational excellence
  • Ensure equipment resources necessary to meet customer requirements
  • Listen to customers, understand business needs and structure a solution built on products and/or services to address those needs
  • Drive initiatives to increase customer awareness and satisfaction

Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years management experience in the country and/or region
  • Strong leadership skills, including ability to envision the future of the organization and work towards achieving the desired future by setting goals, taking action and effectively communicating
  • Ability to define and develop a compelling vision for the future and implement the strategies necessary for success
  • Knowledge of general business practices and oilfield operations in country and region
  •  Financial management experience, including overseeing financial procedures, budget management and reporting
  • Ability to engage external customers and internal resources to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes in a way that provides an optimal experience for the customer
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to manage diverse teams
  • Fluency in English including verbal and written skills, fluency in relevant languages preferred

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred
