Job Description

Mselect is looking to hire a Project Officer for its international media client in Baghdad, minimum of 3 years of NGO experience is desirable with a strong command on English language and fluency in Arabic. The Project Officer will work under the guidance of the Project Manager and Project Coordinator to ensure the project is administered in accordance to standards. This will involve providing logistical, HR and support the project. Below is a more detailed list of responsibilities.

  • Contribute to project delivery and management
  • Providing administrative support to project staff. This will include booking travel and accommodation, logging deployments.
  • Providing administrative support to the financial management of the project, This will also involve supporting the project coordinator by tracking project expenditure, and developing client financial reports
  • Support the team in coordinating project input activities ,weekly and monthly client reporting.
  • Assisting Project management team as needed
  • Organize Project Meetings with the members of the project, contact the attendees and note any who can’t attend. Before the meeting, they send out any relevant information, and they attend each meeting to take minutes.
  • Maintain Documents which track project progress.
  • Identify Problems or Risks : Being so closely involved in the project, the Project Officer is relied upon to identify any potential issues or risks that could effect the progression of the project.
  • Manage the Schedule: closely watch the project schedule, outputs, monitoring deadlines for each project task.
  • Work closely under the project coordinator oversight and reports to the Project Manager
The successful candidate will have:
  • Enrolled in or have achieved a Bachelors’ degree.
  • Experience of writing and communicating in English.
  • Experience using Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook; and
  • Experience working with diverse teams and a familiarity with non-discrimination principles.
  • Performed basic financial administration functions such as managing expenses;
  • Familiarity with project management.
