MSELECT is looking for an experienced Automotive Head of After Sales to be working in one of the leading international automotive companies in Baghdad, Iraq.
Develop the long term strategy and annual business plans; Liaise with the Principal; Guide and direct infrastructure development projects; Provide support to sales team and Monitor customer satisfaction. Within: The guidelines of the ABC strategy and policies. With the objective of: Attaining market leadership by providing a after-sales service over the product life-cycle
Provide inputs for development of organization strategy & goals (Big Five); Understand market scenario; Analyze the competitive environment; Conduct a SWOT analysis of the function; Develop a strategy for the function 2-3 years out (covering ROI, customer segments, key initiatives, sales support etc); Consult function heads of Sales / Parts on strategy development; Incorporate suggestions to fine-tune strategy; Resolve potential inter-functional issues with function heads; Identify investments, manpower & resources required; Discuss strategy for approval from ABC Management; Modify strategy; Communicate to employees in the function in order to set a clear direction for the function.
Identify (from the overall strategy of the function) priorities for the year; Determine the expenses, investments, resources requirement for the year; Determine timelines for initiatives; Set annual revenue target appropriate to expenses; Seek necessary approvals for capex and revenue budgets; Allocate targets to team; Oversee creation of operational plans; Track deployment of plans and budget utilization; Monitor achievement of end-results vis-à-vis plans; Direct corrective actions; Review and modify strategic plans in light of market realities in order to achieve functional goals of the function.
Coordinate with Sales team; Visit key fleet customers; Build relationships with them; Understand potential impact on sales; Conceptualize and prioritize action-plans for sales-support (such as 24-hrs road assistance, extended warranty, service contracts etc); Guide team in developing such programmes & in executing them; Coordinate with principals and internal team; Resolve escalated issues in order to provide sales with the needed support on service.
Review existing product specifications of the company and competitors; Review analysis & approve reductions in cost of the product, without reducing customer benefit (e.g. local stripes instead of manufacturer's stripes); Arrange for negotiation with manufacturers for such new options / variants; Review procurement prices of our products with equivalent models of competitors; Arrange for negotiations between ABC Management & manufacturers for more competitive prices (when required); Decide on variant mix for new models; Constantly review retail price positioning of focus models versus key competition; Identify price margin improvement opportunities or need for price moderation in order to provide a competitive range of required models.
- 18- 20 years in automotive field - with at least 5 years in a senior position (such as Service Head with a large distributor)
- Excellent command of English and Arabic
- Strong understanding of the Automotive Industry and the Middle East market
- Product knowledge; Marketing and PR
