Job Description

MSELECT is looking to hire a Reservoir Engineer for an international oil operator client in Erbil, 2 years of experience as a reservoir or petroleum engineer required, familiar with reservoir engineering analysis integrated with other subsurface disciplines. fluency in Kurdish and English is a must.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Interpreter field and individual well performance to ensure optimum production and recovery.

  • Support delivery of well fluids allocation and volume balance reports to management and for use in subsurface modelling and hydrocarbon accounting.

  • Participate in the update and implementation of the reservoir management plan, including oversight of testing, surveillance and well intervention operations to ensure reservoir objectives are met.

  • Provide coordination between the Subsurface and the execution teams (Drilling & Completion sand Facilities) to optimize well design and delivery of end of well reports, completion and work over summaries.

  • Assist with the production forecasting of existing and future well prospects.

  • Participate and contribute to technical reviews and collaborative studies to for future field development.

QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING REQUIRED
Essential

  • BSc in Petroleum or Reservoir Engineering.

Preferred

  • Related Industry sponsored supplemental education.

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
Essential

  • 2+ years of petroleum or production engineering experience with an oil and gas operating      company.

  • An appreciation of the technical principles of oil gas operations from drilling and completion, flow assurance and production processing.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work and succeed in a multi-disciplinary team environment.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

  • Fundamental understanding of operations, production allocations and MPFM.

  • This position will require the reservoir engineer to integrate within the Operations team and to       be available for well test supervision, sampling or other Field Experience as required.

Preferred

  • Experience working with Electrical Submersible Pumps

  • Field Experience in Operations

  • Understanding of Plant Balancing and Fluid Allocation process

  • Experience in the use of reservoir performance and well test analysis software
