Job summary
This position is accountable for inside sales of a broad range of products/solutions/services within an assigned district under the direction of the Sales Manager. Responds to complex customer inquiries (phone, fax, e-mail) sales opportunities and addresses and services the needs of larger established accounts. Utilizes excellent products/solutions/services and customer knowledge to act as a consultant for high-level customer contacts regarding customer's present and future needs. Encourages partnering as a means toward account penetration and increased profitability. Mentors new inside sales representatives.
Key responsibilities
- Sets goals and objectives, develops inside sales/business plans, establishes call plans and strategies, develops account profiles and executes the inside sales plan.
- Follows up on identified customer leads and makes outbound pre-sales telephone calls .
- Works closely with outside sales counterparts on proposals and quotes.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of Electric products/solutions/services and competitor strengths, weaknesses and applications. Applies knowledge of Electric products/solutions/services to customer's needs.
- Maintains a high level of customer satisfaction through in-depth knowledge of customer's organization, increasing account dedication, timely communication, and follow up.
