Job Description

We are giving the opportunity of joining one of the leading Automotive brands in the world as a Marketing Manager in their branch of Erbil, Kurdistan.



1      Business Management

  • Develop an integrated marketing strategy to effectively achieve brand promotion objectives and increase market share for Sales, After-Sales and F&I departments in line with their respective business strategies
  • Develop and manage the Marketing department’s budget to support overall business strategy (monitoring and reporting)
  • Provide the General Manager with the overall marketing budget forecast and annual targets
  • Regularly monitor departmental performance against the relevant KPI’s and budget

2      Marketing Management and Intelligence

  • Ensure appropriate local market research about customers, market trends, competitor products, marketing communications and service offerings is been carried out and competitor marketing intelligence information is timely sourced to support development of a dynamic and responsive marketing strategy
  • Supervise the development and implementation of marketing communications activities including distributor advertising/promotional campaigns, branding, online marketing and events in accordance with the distributor’s policies, Mercedes-Benz distributor standards and CI
  • Lead the development of detailed marketing calendar in active coordination with key personnel (Division Managers and General Manager)
  • Ensure the implementation and maintenance of Mercedes-Benz retail solution as instructed by DMEL
  • Liaise with service providers (agencies) and develop marketing communication plan
  • Identify and utilize effective marketing channels in the market
  • Recommend appropriate media channel (print, television, radio, mobile , social networking, etc.) based on predefined targeted audience
  • Develop and produce sales promotion materials such as billboard advertising, posters and giveaways in accordance with the distributor policies and the Mercedes-Benz brand and Corporate Identity guidelines
  • Monitor all dealership branding activities in line with the Mercedes-Benz brand and Corporate Identity guideline
  • Propose and review all brand activation programs, e.g. promotions, outdoor events, sponsoring etc. accordingto distributor policies and Mercedes-Benz brand image
  • Modify the marketing strategy, plans and programs suitably in response to changing business environment or business strategy
  • Support the development in co-ordination with DMEL of the distributor’s interactive presence and social media

3      Public Relationship Management

  • Guide the distributor’s public affairs according to distributor policies and in line with the Mercedes-Benz brand imagetoensure desired impact in media channels
  • Support the General Manager in socially responsible company activities
  • Build good relationships with the government bodies, local/national media, journalists and local communities

4      CSI Coordination

  • Assist the CRM department with theimplementation of CRM initiatives based on DMEL regional strategyto improve CSI key areas

5     Reporting

  • Evaluate effectiveness and regularly report on marketing activities as required by distributor management and DMEL
  • Report on marketing related KPI’s as required by distributor management and DMEL

6      Information Management

  • Ensure that retail marketing literature is up-to-date, complete and available
  • Collaborate with all departments to communicate all marketing communication matters
  • Ensure good communication and support to other departments on inter-departmental responsibilities and projects

7      Compliance

  • Know and understand the local laws which govern the automotive industry and ensure that the business complies with the relevant legislation
  • Ensure that checks are implemented to monitor whether all processes are in line with legal / compliance requirements within the distributor and business partners
  • Implement, establish and abide by the distributor and Daimler’s compliance and integrity codes

8      People Management

  • In conjunction with the Director of Sales/General Manager and HR Manager, determine HR requirements for the Sales department, employ new staff and develop an induction plan
  • Together with employees, establish business objectives and personal development goals and monitor performance against agreed targets
  • Develop and motivate employees according to their abilities and needs of the distributor
  • Determine training needs and secure suitable training
  • Provide continuous guidance, support and feedback to subordinate
  • Encourage compliant behaviour and ensure company HR policies are adhered to at all times 


  • 3-5 years’ working experience as Marketing or PR Manager in automotive, luxury goods and/or service industry
  • University Degree majored in marketing, public relations and/or business administration
  • Alternatively substantial experience in Marketing or PR on a managerial level
  • Excellent English language skills (written and spoken)
  • Excellent Kurdish language skills (written and spoken)
