MSELECT is looking to hire a Supply Chain & Purchasing Manager in Baghdad, Minimum 5 years’ experience within FMCG supply chain management and purchasing, including sales & operation planning
  • Reporting to the GM, the Supply Chain & Purchasing Manager is ultimately responsible for the procurement and uninterrupted supply of materials to production operations
  • The Supply Chain & Purchasing Manager is responsible negotiating and securing contracts with suppliers, ordering and managing the supply of materials, and supply chain and production planning in collaboration with the Production Manager
  • In collaboration with the Production Manager, the Supply Chain & Purchasing Manager ensures a cost effective and smooth execution of end-to-end Supply Chain operations.
RESPONSIBILITY – The Overall Accountabilities
  • Developing long-term plans and translating into short-term schedules for the supply chain and production operation
  • Purchase and delivery of materials (raw, ingredients, packaging) to schedule and of the right quality
  • Efficient and safe storage of raw materials and finished goods.
  • Monitoring finished goods in the warehouse to ensure on time and fresh delivery of products to customers
  • Formulating and tracking KPIs to ensure the cost-effective delivery of materials (raw, ingredients, packaging) to schedule and of the right quality.
  • Leading the development of the supply chain strategy, objectives and targets in accordance with the Company business strategy.
  • Preparing and controlling the supply chain & purchasing budget in line with the requirements of the GM
  • Implementing BIDCORO staff policies and SOPs.
  • Priority #1 – Inbound delivery on time and in full (DOTIF)
  • Priority #2 – Adherence to schedule
  • Priority #3 – Zero supply chain complaint
  • Priority #4 – Net Sales
  • Priority #5 – Purchasing spend.
  • Priority #6 – Profit before Fixed Cost (PbFC)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing or similar discipline
  • Food hygiene and HACCP trained.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal in English – including communicating to larger groups.
  • The successful candidate for the position will have obtained the following experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within FMCG supply chain management and purchasing, including sales & operation planning.

  • The position holder must inform the GM about situations that are outside the frame of the ac-accepted strategies and budgets
  • All instances of illegal activities, misuse of power and similar that come to the knowledge of the position holder, are to be reported immediately to the GM
  • Meetings with the GM on a weekly/monthly basis.
  • The position holder is expected to be available for and flexible with personal time commitments when business travel is required
