Job Description

Our client, an international oilfield services company specializing in wireline and well production testing services, is looking for expert Well Testing Senior Operators with minimum of 3 years’ oil field experience and strong piping background. The successful candidates will be chosen to work in their new operation in Sudan.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist the WT Supervisor during all phases of providing well testing services
  • Assist with pre-job product and service equipment preparation (assembly, test, mobilization) and service performance at the well site
  • Confirm that WT equipment is ready, complete, and correct for the job
  • Complete all well site and post-job paperwork
  • Assist with post-job demobilization, clean up, and repair of service equipment and products
  • Develop all remaining skills required to provide the basic WT services at the customer well site without direct supervision
  • Develop and demonstrate a working knowledge of local HMS processes
  • Develop and demonstrate the ability to perform the pre-job review of the job design to understand the total job scope, the desired result, and the processes and tools necessary to achieve success
  • Demonstrate knowledge of all third party well site activities that could negatively impact well testing job execution
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills related to HSE related activities, such as site assessments, risk analysis, onsite safety meetings, PPE use, documentation, etc.

Job Requirements:

  • Education:  Secondary school education + technical education required
  • Work Experience:  at least 3 years oil field experience
  • Knowledge of all piping type, size, and threaded connections
  • Knowledge of all hand tools used on testing operations
  • Knowledge of trucks loading / unloading safe procedures
  • Knowledge of all flanges classification
  • Knowledge of pressure ratings for all equipment
  • Knowledge of equipment function
  • Knowledge of equipment instruments
  • Basic knowledge of equipment layout and safety distances
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs of equipment
  • Identify equipment malfuction and required spare parts           
  • Be able to produce job reports if required
  • Knowledge of reporting software
  • Knowledge of data acquisition system used in WT activities
  • Good knowledge about collecting separator PVT samples
  • Perform as shift leader if required
  • Good communication skills with subordinates, supervisor and client representatives
  • Perform laboratory analysis on the following:  BSW, Oil Specific gravity, Gas gravity, Water Salinity, Water PH, H2S and CO2 concentrations
  • Take the following readings from measuring devices: pressure indicator, level indicator, gas meter, temperature indicator
  • Be able to train subordinates
  • Qualification to drive company vehicles
  • Good knowledge of company's safety policies and emergency procedures
  • Good knowledge of safety equipment
  • Be able to identify hazardus conditions and act accordingly
