MSELECT is looking to hire a Control Room Operator for an international oil and gas operator in Duhok. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and be fluent in English and Kurdish
Purpose of the Role
- To Operate EPF control systems.
- To optimize EPF process operation so as to maximize company value.
- To supervise and execute monitoring, recording and reporting on EPF equipment status in order to assure optimum production and availability.
- To supervise and execute interventions on EPF equipment as required.
- To mentor EPF Operators and Wellhead Operators
- Knowledge in DCS, Alarm Management System
Job Function
HSE:
- Implementing and demonstrate a clear commitment HSE policy requirements
- Keep good communication with all employees on HSE Management System matters thru memos, email, bulletin board notification, etc.
- Ensure that adequate safety precautions are taken prior and during any job
- Ensure proper reporting accidents, incidents, and near misses.
- Technical
- Operate EPF control systems.
- To supervise and execute operation and maintenance of EPF equipment.
- To supervise and execute monitoring, recording and reporting on EPF equipment status in order to assure optimum production and availability.
- To supervise and execute interventions on EPF equipment as required.
- Supervise and execute oil storage tank operations
- Supervise and execute water storage operations
- Supervise and execute oil export operations.
- Supervise and execute of chemical treatment operations
- Supervise and execute preparation and implementation of process startups, shutdowns and interventions as required.
- Identify and report damaged equipment.
- Identify and report equipment operating outside normal operating conditions
- Recover fluid samples as required.

Qualification & Experience
- Relevant background with respect to practical ability.
- University education in oil treatment technology or refinery
- 5 + years’ experience in the oil and gas industry at least one to be spent on wellhead operations.
- Ability to coordinate contractor activities during operation and repair of equipment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel,)
- Clean driving license
