MSELECT is looking to hire a Finance Manager for a food distributor client in Erbil. Candidates must have at least 6 years of relevant experience and must be fluent in English.


Job Summary

Supporting the accounts & supply chain teams in the development and evolution of an integrated long-term strategic agenda for global product costing, ensuring stakeholder requirements are met in the delivery of all new processes and systems. Ensuring that all processes and controls are compliant with relevant statutory requirements and company policy.


Main Responsibilities

  • Day to day maintenance of product costing matrix, delivering appropriate support and exception reporting to the relevant teams
  • Prepare quarterly, monthly, and annual financial reporting
  • To ensure the appropriate checks and controls for revenue, margin and overhead reporting are applied and improved as appropriate
  • Provide accurate and meaningful management information to aid decision making
  • Financial modelling to improve the accuracy of decision making
  • Must have strong senior finance experience with inventory management, warehouse operations and supply chain/logistics management
  • working with various project teams to assist and provide expertise to aid the delivery of new product information, procurement and inventory management and control systems
  • Provide monthly support to the team around Product Costing and Stock Valuation
  • Cash control/ Cost models ensuring margin achieved
  • Actively Liaison with internal and external auditors
  • Stock-takes and cost of sales, running monthly payroll, insurance, and banking
  • To ensure Fixed Asset and Capital Expenditure reporting is accurate and provides management information of actual spend against approved spend, ensuring projects are within authorized limits


Key Requirements

  • Qualified Accountant – ACMA/ CIMA/ ACCA/ ACA/ CPA
  • 6+ years relevant experience
  • Working knowledge of SAP is required
  • Experience with budgeting and forecasting
  • Business Appraisal and Analysis
  • Governance and Controls experience
  • Strong Accounting Management
  • Advanced Excel
  • Understanding of sales to gross to retail profit
  • Good business grasp of what's going on in the market as a whole
  • Quick learner, hardworking and solution-focused
  • Understanding of financial planning, reporting & analysis, and costing/profitability methodologies and processes
  • Perfectly proficient in the English language (spoken, written, and reading)
