Job responsibilities
- Installation, configuration and maintenance of software and hardware
- Management of network and server equipment First-line technical support to employees related to computer hardware and software
- Provision of weekly activity reports to Company’s IT management
- Participation in IT assets management, logging of dispatching and acceptance of IT assets to employees
- Work in close cooperation with Moscow IT team and outsourcing IT support companies
- Activities related to routine operations of IT Department as well as other Company’s needs
IT specialist perform some or all of the following duties
- Interact with users experiencing difficulties or issues with IT&T services and systems
- Provide advice and training to users
- Provide users with support related to business systems, network, Internet as well as other IT&T services
- Prepare user guides, technical manuals and other documents as per the Company needs
- Emulate or reproduce technical problems encountered by users as a part of troubleshootin
- Collect, organize and maintain a problems and solutions log
- Participate in the redesign of IT&T Infrastructure
- Install and configure software and hardware
- Manage network and server equipment as well as other IT&T infrastructure components
- Set up user accounts and workstations
- Configuring and maintaining IT systems according to the Company’s requirements
- Monitoring condition of software and hardware components with the use of monitoring software and various types of notifications
- Troubleshoot and fix issues and prevent outages or eliminate their consequences
- Ensure information security through access control and firewalls
- Ensure data safety using backups
- Update and upgrade of IT systems with patches, hotfixes and new versions
- Mounting/Installation/Relocation/Uninstallation/Dismounting of server, network and wireless equipment
- Adding, removing and changing configuration of all types of interfaces on the switches, routers and other equipment based on Company’s requests and in line with the configuration standards and templates
- Configuration of the First Hop Redundancy Protocols based on Company’s requests and in line with the configuration standards and templates
- Restore configuration of the network devices and appliances from the backup
- Configuring and monitoring static and dynamic routing
- Train Company’s staff on new technologies
- Build and maintain an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals and other IT related documentation
- All other activities related to support of users, maintenance and development of server infrastructure, network infrastructure, telecom infrastructure, structured cabling systems, multifunction printer equipment support and other Company’s needs
Job Requirements
- BSc/Ba in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), MikroTik Certified Network Associate (MTCNA)) is a plus
- The candidate must successfully complete the test task and pass an oral interview
- Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role (at least 3 years). Job experience in Oil&Gas industry is a plus
- Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and structured cable system
- Knowledge of IT security systems (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery software
- Ability to create scripts in PowerShell or other language
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows client and server operating systems
- Experience in support of Cisco-based IP telephony, Polycom videoconferencing, Skype for Business applications
- Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
- Excellent communication skills
- Advanced PC and Microsoft Office user
- Advanced in English and Kurdish.
