MSELECT is hiring a Junior Architectural & Structural Engineer for an international oil and gas operator in Erbil. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience and be fluent in English and Kurdish.

Job Summary

The Junior Architectural & Structural Engineer shall be responsible for the coordination of the Architectural & Structural drawings and documentation between the Engineers, Construction Personnel and the Contractors. The determination of requirements for Architectural & Structural Design and the coordination with other works being undertaken by the Company and other parties in relation to the Projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret instructions from the Project Manager
  • Interpret Architectural Design & Structural documents
  • Produce Architectural Design drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Interpret Structural Analysis Designs including Ground investigation, static analysis, load determination, environmental load factors.
  • Discuss Architectural & Structural drawings with construction teams and engineers to gain feedback.
  • Review completed Architectural & Structural construction drawings from third parties for accuracy and conformity to company standards.
  • Management and delivery of the Project works in accordance with the companies HSE policy
  • Project planning and document control.
  • Raise internal project technical and commercial approval documentation, review scope changes and issue change requests as required;
  • Participate in HAZID and Layout studies.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure necessary information flow between stakeholders to meet project milestones
  • Deputize for the Site Engineer as required.

  • Support effective handover and closure of project contracts.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in onshore capital expenditure (capex) projects, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
  • BSc in Architectural Design or Structural/Civil Engineering
  • Fluent in English and Kurdish language.
  • Experienced in AutoCAD.
  • Familiar with commonly used project management concepts and tools, used to contribute project control information.
