MSELECT is looking to hire a Senior Accountant for a medical equipment distributor client in Baghdad. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and be fluent in English and Arabic.
Responsibilities
- Processes accounting transactions as per Iraqi GAAP. Up to date knowledge of Iraqi accounting
- Ability to navigate through accounting software solutions to manage clients’ accounts
- Performs various accounting tasks, including cooperation with suppliers in AR/AP reconciliation
- Ensures adherence to company’s policies and procedures and coordination in audit procedures
- Manage company's payments
- Manage company's receivables & collection process
- Cash flow management
- Recommendations to management on financial matters
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations at all times
- Produces accounting reports and monthly/quarterly/yearly statistics
- Processes and controls invoices, bank statements, salaries, expenses… + operates the necessary entries in accounting software
- Cooperates with tax authorities in case of tax reviews
- Maintain highly organized and updated client files
