MSELECT is looking to hire a Supply Chain Consultant for a logistics client in Erbil. Candidates must have a minimum of 15 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, oil and gas engineering and installations. English fluency is a must.

Job Overview

Supply chain consultant will work with supply chain team to coordinate and optimize organizational strategies of purchase and procurement. The consultant shall be responsible for working on projects, tenders, bids and RFQs and assess the preparation of tender packages related to supply of materials and services based on technical and commercial terms and conditions. Leading these efforts across business units, including the use of market trend analysis, procurement programs, collaboration of business partners, related risk management, management of projects, contracts, suppliers, and business relations.

Responsibilities

  • Successful implementation of practical business solutions using industry best practices
  • Reorganize the management and develop business processes and techniques
  • Conduct gap analysis and determine effective and successful alternates to meet their needs
  • Lead supply chain and procurement in terms of process execution to effectively drive more operations
  • Understand the engineering implementation of materials and equipment within KRG oil and gas fields
  • Provide functional knowledge and manage client relationships to chase new clients and connections
  • Emphasize style of experience in terms of commercial and technical
  • Conduct market research and be always updated about the latest demands and prices
  • Review, monitor and evaluate performance and procedures
  • Continually improve working procedures, detect NCs within processes and implement corrective actions
  • Establish targets, SOPs, plans, and schedules for more successful integrations
  • Identify current and anticipated market demands and analysis using industry and market intelligence and compare that to business and supply capacity of the company
  • Lead and develop strategies and plan to negotiate with suppliers to optimize business, mitigate costs, monitor supplier performance, support the key supply chain functions, and improve vendor lists
  • Lead internal and external auditing and audit requests

Qualifications 

  • Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or other related fields
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, planning and organization skills
  • Strong industry experience within oil and gas companies
  • At least 15 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, oil and gas engineering and installations,
  • Strong experience and knowledge in preparing and submitting bids, tenders, RFQs, RFPs, and pre-bid qualifications
  • Extensive knowledge of requirements management, business process reengineering and implementation of systems and tools
  • Excellent contract negotiations skills, including understanding key commercial terms, issue spotting and developing robust Service-level agreement
  • Extensive creativity, problem-solving and conflict management skills
  • Masterful at building strong relationships and understanding business needs
