mselect is looking to hire an Accountant for a Retail client in Zakho. Candidates must have at least 4 to 6 years of relevant experience and be fluent in English, Kurdish and Arabic; Turkish is a plus.

Key Responsibilities
As the Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth financial operations of our office in Zakho. Your duties will encompass a range of critical tasks including, but not limited to:
  • General Accounting: You will serve as the cornerstone of our financial operations, managing day-to-day accounting tasks with precision and accuracy
  • Team Collaboration: Establishing and nurturing positive working relationships with your colleagues will be essential. Effective communication and cooperation are key components of this role
  • Data Entry Oversight: You will be tasked with the responsibility of overseeing data entry processes to guarantee timely and precise record-keeping
  • Storekeeper Coordination: Working closely with the storekeeper, you will ensure seamless coordination and accurate record-keeping of inventory
  • Reporting and Analysis: Compiling and submitting daily sales reports and accounts to the management team will be part of your routine. This information will be vital for strategic decision-making
  • Financial Verification: Managing transactions with exchange offices and meticulously verifying monetary amounts will be a crucial aspect of your responsibilities
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in the specific accounting systems utilized by the company is paramount for this role

Requirements
  • Education: A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field is required
  • Previous Experience: A substantial background in accounting, with a minimum of 4 to 6 years of relevant experience, is essential
  • Language Skills: Fluency in Arabic (reading, writing, speaking) is mandatory
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access, etc.) is required
  • Organizational Skills: Strong time management skills and a cooperative attitude towards colleagues are imperative
  • Other Skills: The ability to thrive under pressure and maintain composure in demanding situations is a key attribute for this role
