MSELECT is now seeking a skilled Finance/Account Manager to be working for one of the successful Oil & Gas Consultancy companies here in Erbil, Kurdistan.

Job Description:

The Accounting and Finance Manager is responsible for leading the accounting and financial analysis function. They will manage the recording, reconcilement, reporting and analysis of the company's financial results, projections and controls. The role requires advanced technical proficiency in GAAP accounting concepts.  Both operational and strategic in nature, the Finance Manager role requires the ability to manage and prioritize the recurring operations of the Accounting, Analysis and Internal Control function as well as provide strategic analysis of business operations or transactions on behalf of the company.

Duties & Responsibilities:

·      Set up, implement and monitor the company accounting systems

·      Ensure timeliness and quality is achieved within the recurring financial statement close process

·      Monitor and maintains balance sheet accuracy and related analysis

·      Ensure timely and accurate reporting to support the Regulatory and Compliance function

·      Evaluate project economics during bid and after award and implementation

·      Create systems to manage financial, procurement and pricing data

·      Provide Strategic planning/Budgeting/Forecasting support

·      Demonstrate technical proficiency in order to effectively research and document accounting policy and guidance related to business operations, projections and transactions on behalf of the company


·         Demonstrate a mastery of advanced accounting and finance concepts

·         Demonstrate an understanding of Statutory Accounting principles

·         Demonstrate an advanced level of MS Office proficiency (Excel, Word, Powerpoint).  Prior experience with various accounting systems preferred

·         Time management and organizational skills, along with a high level of attention to detail

·         Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with fluency in English

·         Ability to collaborate across departments within the company

·         Ability to work independently and manage priorities of a team

·         Ability to independently prioritize functional responsibilities
