Job Description

MSELECT is looking to hire a Materials Coordinator for an international oil service company in Erbil, the candidate must have a minimum of 3 years experience in materials within the oil and gas industry. Fluency in Kurdish, English and Arabic is a must.

Role Summary
Materials Coordinator is responsible for the efficient and safe keeping of all supplied materials in the Warehouse and storage areas and directly reports to Warehouse Manager or his representative. Materials Coordinator shall ensure that all warehouse activities and transactions, especially receiving and issuing, are properly documented and updated in company’s computerized WMS (Warehouse Management System) of choice and makes sure all relevant reports are available immediately upon respective request from management for audit purposes.

Main Responsibilities

  • Coordinates the generation of pick tickets, cycle counting sheets, and physical inventory sheets and is responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the on-hand inventory count.

  • Follow up handling, storage and preservation of materials that require special care.

  • Organize quarantine for materials falling under OS&D/NC category (Overage, shortage, and damages) or materials without the required certification.

  • Implement preservation and maintenance plans of materials in storage areas as instructed by Company Experts and Suppliers.

  • Update WMS (Available with the company Database system) on daily basis and prepare all reports requested by relevant departments and management.

  • Check inventory for ROP/ROQ (MIN/MAX) levels and report to line manager.

  • Manages and supervises the inventory transaction processes to ensure inventory accuracy and timeliness.

  • Communicate using Microsoft Outlook / company’s email account, be professional and follow company’s system / I.T rules at all time.

  • Following company’s Safety Requirements at all time, prioritize & encourage Safety Culture.

  • Responsible to report to line manager any HESS incidents (Health, Environment, Safety & Security)

  • All responsibilities will be delegated to the Materials Coordinator during the absence of the Head of warehouse management service.


  • University degree in a related field is preferable.

  • Good Knowledge of warehouse operations management including inventory management, receiving, freight logistics processes, procedures and practices.

  • Confident knowledge of the oil transportation technology; operations and maintenance of the trunk oil pipelines and process management systems;

  • Strong practical knowledge of planning, project management and implementation, quality control and completion of industrial construction projects, preferably in the area of oil trunk pipeline transportation.

  • Must be flexible on the working schedule and work longer hours if required

  • Ability to adapt to working in a yard & warehouse (dusty / fast pace environment).

  • Team player, reliable and punctual.

  • High standard of spoken and written English, Kurdish and Arabic is a must, Russian is a plus.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Material coordinator sector (preferably in the Oil & Gas Industry).

  • Experience in warehousing and Inventory assets in oil & gas sector facilities.

  • Proficiency in using standard office software such as MS Windows, MS Office and/or equivalent;

  • Proficiency in using modern communication tools such as Internet, e-mail, mobile phone, telephone / video conferencing, instant messenger systems;

  • Good Knowledge of Materials Management Software, such as SAP / SKOLMS / Maximo / ORACLE.
