KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Health, Safety and Environment Activities:
- Support and enforce project guidelines and Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) objectives
- Attend HSE meetings and training when necessary
- Participate in job safety analysis, make suggestions, stop dangerous situations, and report anomalies, incidents and accidents
- Supervise and control the selected Contractor’s to carry out the Civil and Structural works at their premises in prefabrication and under construction on the Sites
- Ensure the proper execution of the works in compliance with safety and environmental protection procedures, technical specifications, budgets, and schedules
- Optimize and follow work schedules, organization of logistics and the Contractor's site
- Ensure good coordination / interface between the Site (the Contractor and the Operator), Construction Manager and the various entities involved on the project (Inspection, Topography, logistics, commissioning etc), TOPOGRAPHY, LOGISTICS departments, the COMMISSIONNING team
- Check the procedures and work schedule of the Companies, participate and follow up risk analyses, and assist the preparation and checking the permits to work
- Check the technical information provided by the Contractor and its consistence
- Monitor supplies for the smooth running of the site. (Verification of equipment or consumables
- Mainly supervision of structural, earthworks and civil engineering, building construction
- Anticipate all potential challenges and, propose, if necessary, alternative "practical" solutions
- Provide occasional general supervision of the works below:
- All structural construction works (primary, secondary, and tertiary) structural works
- Civil engineering: marking and realization of track, realization of various protection
- Construction control (structural work, finishing work, concrete test control, etc.)
- Ensure the receipt, control, and transmission of all Contractors' documents
- Prepare the daily report (progress of work, number of people, highlights, etc.)
- Participate in weekly meetings, (preparation or control of meeting minutes)
- Validate the approval of the works with the Construction Manager and the Contractors
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in the Engineering or construction field
- Minimum 10 to 15 years’ experience in the Oil & Gas industry with significant experience in construction
- Experience as a Civil and structural construction Supervisor on an onshore Greenfield and brownfield project with a very good knowledge of general specifications, rules, procedures and International Codes and Standards
- Previous experience in managing Simultaneous Operations (SIMOPS) will be an added advantage
- Team player with ability to work cross functionally with complex project teams and act as an interface between interdisciplinary departments within an international team
- Excellent knowledge of English language (Oral and written)
