KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the integrity of the Geoscience and Reservoir (GSR) information management systems
- Maintain archives data flow and procedures for technical documentation and physical data, especially geological well samples (reception, Quality Control (QC), indexing, retrieval, destruction, history management)
- Archiving of any new reports or technical documentation issued from the Assets, and integration of any technical GSR information received from external parties into e-Search corporate database in HQ
- Ensure and maintain local replication archives of technical documentation
- Guarantee the preservation of the local replication/back up archives data
- Ensure proper accessibility and procedures to search the documents archive in e-Search database and SharePoint
- Participate in receiving and shipment of physical data with the logistics department
- Assist in the data exchange with third parties (authorities and partners)
- Maintain procedures to exchange data with HQ
- Prepare archives management procedures (receipt, indexing, loans, destruction, history management)
- Implement adaptations to the physical archives when necessary
- Maintain and acquire knowledge in the field of archiving and documentation technologies
- Meet with users to define data needs, project requirements/required outputs and put in place solution
- Communicate with the users and the Information Technology (IT) entity to solve problems on everyday challenges
- Consider optimization of disk space usage – avoid duplication of data online, contacts with IT entity
- Reporting on Support services provided to end-users
- Guarantee integrity, accuracy, update, and availability of all databases under his supervision
- Guarantee the integrity, reliability, and availability of GSR data under his supervision
- Contribute to optimizing the organization and sharing of experience with HQ and any standardization addressed by HQ
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Management or Geosciences
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Geosciences archiving and data management
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of Geoscience data, interest in Information Technology (IT) and experience with Microsoft Office 365 mainly SharePoint
- Good interpersonal skills and excellent knowledge of English language (speaking and writing)
