mselect is seeking an Electrical Site Lead for an international energy client in Basra, Iraq. Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience and a thorough understanding of Overhead Transmission Line and Substation. Fluency in English and Arabic is a must.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Follow up on finalization of OHTL routes and permits including 132kv Substation
  • Participate in the evaluation and selection of the local subcontractors
  • Respond to engineering design input requests from the engineering team and coordinate with Transmission and Production for applicable inputs
  • Be integral part to the finalization and approval of the project design
  • Support factory acceptance test procedures and track project schedule related to electricity discipline
  • Move to site to support construction activities
  • Prepare and document project progress reports related to the electrical department
  • Work under the supervision of the Project Electrical Engineer
  • Coordinate and interface with the rest of the project team to ensure seamless integration of the electrical scope into the project design and work
  • Maintain team collaborative spirit with his/her colleagues and ensure smooth and clear communication with the customer and project stakeholders
  • Comply with the company’s compliance and safety rules

EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in an Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in relevant field
  • In-depth understanding of Overhead Transmission Line and Substation
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Fluent English (written and oral) and Arabic are mandatory
