mselect is looking to hire a Head of Finance for a manufacturing and distribution client in Erbil. Candidates must have a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience. Fluency in English, Arabic and Kurdish is a must.

Job description
The ideal candidate will contribute to the overall success of the organization by effectively managing all financial tasks. They will oversee the financial operations of the business and provide frequent financial reports. They will also assure strict adherence to financial regulations and compliance.
 
Responsibilities
  • Financial Strategy: Develop and implement the financial strategy and long-term financial planning for the company
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data and market trends to provide insights and recommendations to senior management
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic goals. Participate in business planning; prepare and coordinate the factory budget with factory management.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to senior leadership, shareholders, and regulatory authorities. Compile reporting of actuals (including organizing and overseeing timeliness and accuracy of period-end close and promoting ownership of data at source); and dynamic forecasts for the factory; ensure transparency of this process; follow up and monitoring of progress to close gaps, ensuring company financial policies, Accounting Standards and Costing Standards are followed
  • Costing: Challenge assumptions in seeking cost improvements in the factory. Seek for and support cost improvement opportunities, be an active contributor to improvement projects and initiatives validate and review proposed savings
  • Partner with Engineering to manage costs and review capital proposals
  • Ensure full transparency of costs and financial impact on the organization of major or strategic decisions relating to the factory
  • Work with team members to develop new product costing in accordance with costing standards
  • Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials: Experience in using Oracle Financials to automate the company’s financial management processes, including payables, receivables, fixed assets, expenses, and reporting, for a clear view of the company’s total financial health
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards. Cost Management: Manage and optimize costs to improve profitability
  • Risk Management: Identify and manage financial risks, including currency exchange, interest rates, and market fluctuations
  • Treasury Management: Oversee cash management, investment strategies, and capital allocation

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance / accounting
  • 12+ years of experience in finance and accounting
  • MBA, CPA, CCA, CMA, and/or other financial designation
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • English fluency
