Job Title
Our company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paint Chemist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a solid educational background in Chemistry, chemical engineering, polymer chemistry, coatings, or a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in paint and coatings development.
Responsibilities:
- Develop paint formulations and coatings, and modify existing recipes to meet industry specifications and methods
- Conduct research on new and existing paint formulas, perform paint testing, and ensure timely and accurate data reporting to supervisors
- Interact with production teams to resolve manufacturing and scale-up issues, and investigate product complaints to enhance overall product quality
- Provide technical support for product transfer, raw material approval, and method development
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, strictly adhering to safety protocols, and efficiently organizing projects
- Collaborate closely with other team members on paint testing and analytical projects, sharing knowledge and expertise to support the successful progress of the lab
- Ensure that products consistently meet quality standards and specifications, providing technical support for quality and production teams
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Chemistry, chemical engineering, polymer chemistry, coatings, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in the development of paint and coatings
- Proven expertise in formulating and modifying paint recipes to meet industry standards
- Strong research skills, including the ability to conduct comprehensive testing and report data accurately
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of safety protocols and the ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality results
