We are looking for a QHSE&S Specialist for one of our manufacturing clients in Erbil. A minimum of 5 years' experience of working in the HSE field is required of candidates. A fluency in both English and Kurdish is a must, and with an understanding of Arabic would be a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develops and implements QHSE&S policies and procedures in compliance with company’s requirement & state rules and regulations as they apply to the organization’s operations; & Ensure adherence to company policies
  • Ensure that all hazardous activities are analyzed and required preventive measures are implemented & legal complied in all company’s Iraq Sites & Set goals for QHSE&S Department
  • Develop, implement and maintain employee training programs as indicated by regulatory guidelines, hazardous condition monitoring, and use of safety equipment & Coordinate with HR on compliance to Training requirements
  • Perform safety surveys and inspections, prepare written reports of findings and recommendations for corrective and preventative measures, and follow up on task completion
  • Ensure compliance with timely reporting as required by the company in regard to QHSE&S and updated statutes
  • Interfaces effectively with organization departments – Supply Chain, Finance, HR, R&D, Production and quality– to achieve goals and objectives
  • Participate in all QHSE&S Meetings & training that the company require by preparing the required presentation related
  • Analyze Incident data, report in time & recommend actions to avoid Incidents across the organization
  • Ensure management of all hazardous waste and maintain records
  • Develop and implement efficient operations emergency response plans and ensure compliance with the company & Local regulations & Maintain workforce competency to their roles in contingency management
 
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
  • Min 5 years’ experience HSE filed
  • Major degree in related sector
  • Fluent in English language (read, write and speak), proficiency in Arabic language is a plus
  • Ability to travel if necessary, in accordance to operational requirements
  • Excellent report writing and analytical skills
  • Related certificate is an advantage
