mselect is looking to hire a Site Logistics Officer for an international energy client in Basra, Iraq. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Fluency in English and Arabic is a must.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Health, Safety and Environment and Security:
  • Participate in enforcing HSE rules on Road-Transport activities (passengers and equipment) at Central Processing Facility 1 (CPF1) arrival
  • Assist in HSE induction and site presentation video room at CPF1 gate
  • Report anomalies related to Transport safety, vehicles defaults, drivers’ behaviour to the Logistics Transport Supervisor
Operation:
  • Daily interface with security department representative (SSS: Site Security Supervisor)
  • Capture information (names, vehicles data, journey numbers) for transport activities (coordination with security department) in dedicated Journey Management/POB software
  • Update permanently site Personnel on Board (POB) on dedicated software, for the Site Manager’s (RSES) report.
  • Extract POB figures for the site at any given time
  • Receive badge request forms and treat them; inform SSS and responsible for Safety and Environment at site (RSES) about visitors’ arrivals
  • Check badge requester safety certificates, to determine eligibility to access
  • Issue badges (through POB software), based on site access control policy
  • Organize the staff transport, from CPF1 to field well pads, accommodation camp, project's locations, and any other destinations (ministries, Basra Oil Company (BOC) offices, contractors’ offices, etc.) on ad-hoc basis
  • Create transport journeys for movement of equipment in the journey management tool: equipment transfers from CPF1 to logistics base, drilling sites, production site, projects sites and equipment suppliers’ yards
  • Handle equipment deliveries at CPF1: review shipping documents and material advisory notes, to give further instructions to the driver. Inform concerned recipients
  • Assist the logistics base on the equipment deliveries to CPF1 site, supporting site logistics supervisor for proper reception and storage of materials (considering dangerous goods materials)

REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Transport, Logistics, Computer science or Language or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry
  • Field experience in transport of staff and equipment
  • Proficient in Microsoft office pack (Excel/Word/Power Point)
  • Safety training: Defence driving, First Aid, Firefighting is a plus
  • Excellent knowledge of English language (speaking and writing)
