KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operations:
- Administer, configure, and maintain the networks elements of the affiliate’s different sites: corporate (including Telephony over Internet Protocol (IP)), Industrial and Entertainment (Radio system, Radio links, microwave, Very High Frequency (VHF), satellite links, fiber optics, Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), Public Address General Alarm (PAGA), access control, etc.)
- Monitor the systems and network performance and take the necessary measures to ensure their stability and evolution; and that they are up to date and comply with the company cybersecurity policies
- Identify, troubleshoot, and solve any problems that arise with networks and telecoms systems, including root cause analysis and escalate incidents if necessary
- Maintain and recommend network installation to reduce operational cost
- Supervise, coordinate and follow-up the activities of the external telecom suppliers and providers
- Coordinate and follow-up with the authorities for the licenses of the telecom systems
- Organize, coordinate, and control all the activities related to the physical and logical installation of Telecommunication networks, on both corporate and industrial side. This includes managing projects with subcontractors
- Ensure the smooth integration of new buildings / sites in the overall network architecture, within time and budget allocated, and in coordination with the infrastructure team on site
- Design the overall architecture for the different networks, considering cybersecurity policies and long-term evolution.
- Proactively propose enhancements to the IT architecture
- Collaborate with IT support personnel and participate in IT helpdesk support
- Cross sharing knowledge with the other IT team members
- Ensure that the inventory of all network elements (Links, Hardware, etc.) are up do date and contributes to the procurement of new services including preparation of the Bill of Material (BOM) or scope and evaluating the offers
- Regular reporting to IT management
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication engineering, or Information Technology (IT) or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Information Technology and Telecommunications
- Good knowledge of various communication protocols, equipment (routers, switches, firewalls, telephony systems and other data communication systems), and voice and collaborative systems (Internet Protocol (IP) and analogue and videoconference)
- In-depth knowledge of transmission and communication systems in and industrial environment (Radio links, microwave, VHF, satellite links, fibre optics, CCTV, PAGA, access control, etc.)
- Cisco Certified Network Professional Certification (CCNP) (routing and switching) certification is a requirement
- Must be adaptable with the ability to learn to learn quickly and attention to detail
- Good knowledge of English language (spoken and written)
