Camp Supervisor

MSELECT is looking to hire a Camp Supervisor for an international oil and gas operator in Kurdistan. Candidates must have at least 3 years of working experience with international oil and gas clients in same role, fluency in Kurdish and English is a must.

Objectives and Performance Criteria

  • Supervision and operation of Non-Production Facilities (including Accommodation and Office Facilities)
  • Provision of catering, janitorial, laundry and waste management services, oversee maintenance services.
  • Stock level for Operator personnel maintained between 14-30 days.
  • Supervision and assurance of safety for personnel, environmental safety at non-production Facilities.


Responsibilities

  • Supervising and overseeing Facilities operations. Namely, but not limited: Pilot Camp, CPF office camp, Security checkpoints, OPF Camps.
  • Organize accommodation and office space planning. Initiation of relocations and modernization. Allocation and managing space. Coordinating buildings maintenance and operational activities. Planning space utilization.
  • Control over sustainability and continuity of Facilities operations. Day-to-day control over the operations;
  • Analyzing POB Forecast to ensure correct Bed Planning;
  • Up-dating POB Reports;
  • Ensure flawless crew changing;
  • Perform duties to support VIP Visits and Special Events;
  • Planning, developing requirements and directing services provision at the Facilities (catering, janitorial, waste management, laundry, pest control, maintenance). Preparation and approving schedule of services. Coordination of services between the Facility`s buildings and territory.
  • Collaborating with contractors on daily basis.
  • Initiation of the service provision and acceptance of the services. Invoices and bills verification.
  • Budgeting, control of the expenditures, optimization;
  • Control over the stock level (diesel fuel, food products, drinking and potable water, sewage).
  • Development and continuous improvement of Operator’s menu and food brand standard, control over its implementation.
  • Daily verification of the services provided by the Contractor;
  • Coordination with other departments on work related matters and on services feedback provision. Address customers’ needs and requests;
  • Defining the services and goods required for the Facilities for smooth operation, interact with representatives of all business units of the Operator.
  • Maintain a positive interface between the residents of the camps and the Life Support Contractor, mitigate any escalation or conflict.
  • Following Company procurement guidelines.
  • Coordination of personnel transportation to/from worksites.
  • Coordination and control of road maintenance activities.
  • Perform physical inventory checks of materials and fixed assets;
  • Prepare technical requirements to the materials and equipment to procure;
  • Create purchase requisitions and prepare contractor’s work orders, keep track of the progress;
  • Clarification and evaluation of proposals;
  • Inventory movement control and write-off;

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Humanities (hotel management is a plus) or an engineering Bachelor’s degree in Facility management
  • Work experience - not less than 3 years in similar position.
  • Work experience to coordinate Facilities operations, planning of accommodation and office spaces.
  • Work experience to coordinate various contractors involved in Facilities operations.
  • Work experience with procurement and contracting strategies;
  • Work experience with material resource planning;
  • Work experience with multi-cultural, multi-confessional environment.
  • HSE competence.
  • Enterprise’s equipment and rules of its technical operation
  • Basic knowledge of HACCP.
  • Basic knowledge of ISO 22000.
  • Proved knowledge of hotel standards (accommodation, catering, laundry and housekeeping).
  • Knowledge of best practices in respective discipline.
  • Bases of labor organization, production and management.
  • Time management.
  • Ability to interact with representatives of different cultures.
  • Analytical approach to solution of complex technical problems in the area of various production disciplines.
  • Administration of multi-million USD Life Support Contracts.
  • Ability to work in harsh environments.
  • Ability to work independently in uncertain conditions while achieving the set target.

  • Strong interpersonal and managerial skills.
  • Ability to work in high security and safety risk environment;
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook); MS Visio; MS Project, Acrobat Reader.
  • English and Kurdish language is required
