mselect is looking for a Construction HSE Supervisor for an international oil and gas operator in Basrah, Iraq. Candidates must have at least 3 years of relevant experience. Fluency in English and Arabic is a must.

Job purpose
Working as an integral part of the HSE management systems team, the main objective of this position will be to support the HSE management system lead to provide up to date information on the organizations performance & progress. Assists HSE management systems Lead with an overview and management of the HSE management systems Engineers.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Prepare/distribute weekly/monthly HSE reports as required
  • Liaising with contractors / responsible MFD contract representatives to ensure timely HSE reporting
  • Communicating with various internal stakeholders to ensure reporting activities meet the very high standards expected by the company
  • Input and validation of greenhouse gas emissions data
  • Coaching internal stakeholders on the HSE reporting requirements
  • Quality / Control & maintenance of the company HSE statistical databases. Maintain records per the team / company document control system
  • Support internal company trend analysis & root cause analysis activities. Support the preparation of the Majnoon HSSE Annual Improvement Plan
  • Managing leadership site visits and goal zero system
  • Provide expertise in the effective analysis of incidents data and appropriately report trends
  • Support HSE disciplines in development/selection of the HSE standards, processes and systems to ensure they are fit for purpose, practical and the implementation and management of incentive campaigns
  • Ensure quality control of HSE data reported internally and externally

Criteria & Qualifications:
  • Any Technical or Operational background with more than 3 years’ experience in general or preferably HSE
  • A University Degree or Professional Education Degree. A NEBOSH IGC is preferred
  • Experience in the data analysis (incidents data)
  • Good communication, presentation, influencing and business writing skills
Experience:
  • 3 years of relevant job experience within the oil & gas industry
