mselect is looking for a Financial Manager for an FMCG client in Baghdad. Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management, preferably in the Food Manufacturing/ FMCG/ Healthcare industry. Fluency in English and Arabic is a must.

JOB SUMMARY
The Financial Manager-Food Manufacturing is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company. The role requires a solid background commercial financial control skill to develop and maintain financial policies and procedures, manage accounting and financial reporting, and analyse financial data to help the company make sound business decisions.

There are Three open positions, one for each of the sectors below:

  • Food manufacturing
  • FMCG
  • Healthcare

 
RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Planning and Analysis

  • Develop and maintain financial models for the company's short-term and long-term financial plans
  • Develop and manage the company's financial strategies and plans
  • Create and maintain financial reports and forecasts specific to the food manufacturing industry
  • Manage the company's budget and track expenses specific to the food manufacturing industry
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities specific to the food manufacturing industry
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures specific to the food manufacturing industry
  • Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations for the food manufacturing industry
  • Monitor and analyse financial performance metrics specific to the food manufacturing industry
  • Communicate financial information to senior management and stakeholders specific to the food manufacturing industry
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial objectives are met specific to the food manufacturing industry
  • Manage the company's relationships with banks and other financial institutions specific to the food manufacturing industry
  • Provide financial advice to the company regarding investments and other financial decisions specific to the food manufacturing industry
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify key business drivers and trends
  • Monitor and report on financial performance against budget and forecast
  • Provide financial guidance and support to the senior management team

Accounting and Financial Reporting

  • Ensure that all accounting and financial reporting is accurate, timely, and in compliance with GAAP and IFRS
  • Manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process
  • Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Develop and implement internal controls to ensure the integrity of the company's financial information

Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Develop and manage the annual budgeting process
  • Work with department heads to prepare detailed departmental budgets
  • Monitor actual results against budget and forecast and identify variances
  • Make recommendations for cost-saving initiatives

Cash Management

  • Develop and maintain cash flow projections to ensure the company has adequate cash on hand.
  • Manage the company's banking relationships.
  • Ensure that accounts receivable and accounts payable are managed efficiently

Team Management

  • Manage the finance team, including hiring, training, and developing staff
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and ensure that the team is meeting the company's financial objectives


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in financial management, preferably in the Food Manufacturing/ FMCG/ Healthcare industry
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with financial modeling
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
  • Experience managing a team of financial professionals
  • Knowledge of IFRS and other accounting principles
