mselect is looking to hire a Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor for an international oil and gas operator in Basrah, Iraq. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry. Fluency in English and Arabic is a must.

Job Purpose
The Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor shall undertake the functions of vehicle compliance, control & assurance of BOC clearances, maintain record of maintenance, OPF clearance supporting the local community contracts.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and maintain the data base of all vehicles and its documentation
  • Assist Senior Fleet Maintenance Supervisor and Head of Transportation with the data base of vehicle record maintenance
  • Provide support to the community contractor vehicle owner about the vehicle field pass and security clearance
  • Liaise with the security department on the vehicle record maintenance
  • Follow up with BOC and OPF for the long-term vehicle pass
  • Follow up with Road safety and HSE for vehicle inspection and badge issuance
  • Prepare journey management plan and issue to the drivers
  • Inspect the vehicles at DS1 for compliance and safety
  • Track IVMS and report to bus operations team
  • Conduct Route survey when there are change in routes or a new passenger added
  • Liaise with BOC security office in Basra when a requirement arises
  • Organize the stake holder meeting requirements and record the minutes of meeting
  • Follow up on the meeting actions with the action party
  • Participation in engagements with external stakeholders (Contractors, Buses owners and Basra Oil Company)
  • Familiarize the work instruction for logistics department

REQUIREMENTS

Education:
  • Degree in any discipline
Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in managing contracts and administration
  • Good understanding of and demonstrable hands-on experience in all functional aspects of Contracts, VOWD, monthly invoicing and budget preparation
Software:
  • Well versed in MS office
Language:
  • English is must and Arabic knowledge is preferred
Skills:
  • Knowledge in preparing monthly reporting and KPI
  • Communication skills
  • Understand the safe journey management procedures
  • Manage the vehicle specification as per standards

Rotation: 7 Days On/ 7 Days Off
